Not Your Typical Acoustic Act

Matt has been performing publicly since the age of 18. After years as a professional artist and performer, he picked up the guitar and found the instrument that gave him a new way to channel everything he had spent a lifetime putting into music.

Five years later, Matt Playz Guitars has performed solo, as a duet and alongside ensembles and creative acts throughout Jacksonville.

His sound pulls from an unlikely mix of influences including Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, A Tribe Called Quest, Rob Zombie, Eminem and Tech N9ne.

The result is familiar music that doesn't sound like everybody else playing it.

DJ packages are curated based on the individual event, reception length and production requirements.

Sound Included

Matt Playz Guitars travels with professional sound options suitable for intimate and medium-sized events and can also integrate into an existing professional production system.

Acoustic/classical guitar, electric Strat, looping, effects, MPC and backing production allow the performance to move from stripped-down acoustic moments to a much fuller live sound.

If your venue or production company is already providing an appropriate professional sound system, ask whether your event qualifies for a production credit.

Matt is comfortable doing more than standing behind a microphone. Crowd interaction, storytelling, audience engagement and emcee work are all part of the experience when the event calls for it.

He can also accompany guest vocalists or collaborate with additional musicians to create a custom performance for your event.

Standard live bookings begin at $500.

Travel

Standard booking is available throughout Jacksonville and within approximately a two-hour travel radius.

Events beyond the standard service area are welcome. Additional travel and lodging fees may apply.

Dates are not considered reserved until your booking agreement and required deposit have been completed.

Professional liability insurance is maintained for our entertainment operations. Clients are encouraged to maintain appropriate event insurance as required by their venue or circumstances. Additional performers and entertainment professionals may be subject to separate insurance requirements.

Pricing is subject to event date, duration, location, production requirements and availability. Custom performances, additional musicians, extended performance time, travel and other services may incur additional fees.
