William-Shane Beaulieu: Teaching Respect for Wildlife, One Fear at a Time

From Quebec to Green Cove: A Journey Into the Wild

William-Shane Beaulieu's passion for wildlife began unexpectedly. After moving from Montreal, Quebec to the deep woods of Green Cove Springs, Florida, he was suddenly surrounded by snakes, bugs, and wild creatures of all kinds. Instead of fear, he found fascination. Learning about these animals became more than curiosity—it became a calling.

Inspired by Steve Irwin, Fueled by Curiosity

Like many wildlife educators, William found deep inspiration in the legendary Steve Irwin. But what sets him apart is his mission: helping people confront their deepest fears and transform them into moments of wonder, empathy, and respect.

Face-Your-Fear Parties: Changing Lives with Wildlife

William’s proudest achievement so far is his unique Face-Your-Fear parties. These interactive events invite participants to come face-to-face with animals they’ve feared for years—sometimes decades. Witnessing fear melt into curiosity and awe is what keeps him going.

Favorite Part of the Creative Process: Breaking Fear with Connection

For William, the highlight of his work is watching someone take their first step toward overcoming fear. Whether it’s holding a snake or simply observing a creature they once feared, the shift from panic to peace is powerful. It’s not just about animals—it’s about transformation.

Bespoke House: Fueling the Wild Mission

As a member of Bespoke House, William has found not just opportunity but a new level of creative growth. The events, the connections, and the support have helped launch him further into educational content creation. His dream of hosting a full wildlife show, spotlighting local species and sanctuary stories, is closer than ever.

Future Goals: From Parties to a Full Wildlife Show

William plans to expand his Face-Your-Fear parties across the city and beyond. He’s working toward a local wildlife show that will feature educational segments, visits to animal sanctuaries, and collaborations with local artists. His mission: make education about wildlife engaging, accessible, and fear-free.

Advice for First Coast Artisans

“Don’t feel like you’re alone in the struggle—we’re all misfits here, helping each other thrive,” says William. He encourages stepping out of your comfort zone and saying yes to new things, even if they scare you. That’s where real growth happens.

Stay tuned as William brings the wild to life—helping our community reconnect with the creatures we share this planet with, one fearless moment at a time.
